Instruction in electrical theory, terminology, use of test instruments; basic electrical code, wiring techniques; lighting circuits, plugs, three-way switches, fuse boxes and electrical panels, blueprint reading; and electrical safety.

This competency-based course is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in the floor covering industry. It will also develop skills in new installation techniques.

Preparation for entry-level employment in the floor covering industry. Includes installing sheet goods and Composition Tile (VCT), carpet, hardwood, ceramic tile, installation techniques.
