Child Day Care Occupations/Early Childhood Assistant
Course Number: 28-05-63, Length of Course: 375 hours
This course is for the paraprofessional looking for employment as an Early Childhood Assistant in a nursery school, child care center, child development program or as a K-2
teacher’s aide. Classroom and fieldwork experience provides training in child growth and development, child care and guidance and the implementation of a developmentally sound curriculum. This course is an alternative qualification for 6 post-secondary semester units required for Permit Assist Level (Title 5) and as a Teacher Aide (Title 22).
