Front and rear suspensions, four wheel alignment, brake service dealing with disc, drum, hydraulic systems, and Antilock-Brake-Systems (ABS). Meets NATEF standards and prepares trainees for the ASE A4 certification, ASE A5 certification, and the state brake license examinations.

Upgrades skills in suspension, steering, and brakes; hydraulic systems, drum & disc brake systems, anti-lock brake systems (ABS), front suspensions, and alignment. Meets NATEF standards.

Employment in the automotive field, completion of an automotive mechanics course, and/or instructor’s permission.

Tune-Up Mechanic/Engine Performance 1

Study of engine performance and repair, basic theory of engine operation, electronic ignition, fuel system (carburetor and computer controlled), basic electronic fuel injection, basic electrical theory and the use of oscilloscope and lab scope operation and diagnosis, and the use of hand held electronic test equipment.
